Hi, thanks for being here. I'm Soo-Young and I've worked in the beauty industry for about 20 years. I first got into skincare in elementary school. I then trained in medical research and moved into beauty products development. Being an industry insider and a scientist, I have first-hand knowledge of why oftentimes the products don't work as well as intended or advertised.

Here's a little known secret - all skincare products on the market are old and stale by the time you use them, and therefore ineffective. I started LightWater to create skincare that's as fresh as possible so it brings true benefits to its users.

My idea came to life when I was looking through my cosmetics bag and was struck by how old some of the products were – three years, some even up to five years old!  As a scientist and beauty product developer, I knew the product actives had broken down and become useless long ago. Plus, in order to last that long, the products are pumped with preservatives and other ingredients that add stress to, instead of help, the skin. 

So, I teamed up with Drs. Rox Anderson and Fernanda Sakamoto, world-class skin experts, to reinvent beauty industry practices so we can deliver truly fresh, nutrient-dense skincare, inspired by the food industry. Our model is unique and makes LightWater both super clean and highly efficacious.
